Effective mould remediation involves more than treating visible growth. Depending on the property and extent of contamination, remediation may involve moisture investigation, containment of affected areas, HEPA-filtered air management, removal or cleaning of affected materials and detailed HEPA cleaning.

The appropriate remediation approach is determined by the conditions found during assessment rather than applying the same treatment to every property.

Cleaning visible mould from a surface may improve its appearance, but it does not necessarily address the full extent of the problem. Mould growth is often associated with an underlying moisture issue, and contamination may extend beyond what is immediately visible.
